Email and chat notifications
Choose events and connect Slack Discord or Teams to project testing.
Open Project setup → Notifications. Configure both the event and destination: an enabled channel does not select events automatically.
Choose events
Select relevant events, such as failed or completed runs, finished scans, generated tests, or scheduled work. Start with failures to avoid an alert for every routine action.
Enable the channel, save its settings, and use the available test action. Confirm that a real selected event also reaches the destination.
Enable email and review its destination. Check spam filtering and organizational mail policy if a test message does not arrive.
Slack
- Create a Slack app for the workspace.
- Enable Incoming Webhooks.
- Add a webhook to the intended channel and copy its URL.
- Paste the URL into AegisRunner's Slack settings.
- Enable the channel, save, and send a test.
Treat the URL as a secret. Follow Slack's current instructions if your workspace requires app approval.
Discord
Create a webhook in the intended server channel's integration settings. Paste its URL into AegisRunner's Discord settings, enable it, save, and test. The person creating it needs the appropriate server permissions.
Microsoft Teams
Use your organization's supported incoming-webhook or Workflows setup. AegisRunner sends an Adaptive Card message payload. Configure a compatible workflow and check the Teams test action before relying on it.
Use Microsoft's current webhook guidance when configuring the receiver.
Diagnose a missing alert
Check event switches, channel enablement, saved URL or address, plan access, and destination permissions. A successful test confirms the connection; it does not select the real events for you.
For a service you control, use Custom webhooks.
