Baselines and visual changes
Compare later results with a known reference and review intended changes.
A baseline is a reference for comparison. Choose a known-good state of your app so that differences in later checks are meaningful.
Choose a reference
Open Baselines from the project's additional views or Project setup. Select a suitable scan or available baseline for the comparison workflow.
Confirm the target environment, account role, and app state before adopting a reference. Avoid selecting a scan that stopped at a login screen or an error page.
Review a visual difference
Where visual comparison evidence is available, inspect the baseline, current image, and highlighted difference together.
A change can be an intended redesign, a rendering problem, or unstable content such as a timestamp. Compare the underlying behavior as well as the image.
Accept the current screenshot as the new baseline only when the change is intended. Rejecting a change leaves the existing baseline in place.
Repeat the check
Use Project setup → Schedules to configure a Visual baseline check when available on your plan. Keep the same viewport and target assumptions across comparisons.
