Getting started questions

Answers about scans, test runs, access, mobile builds, and CI.

Use these answers to choose a testing workflow and find the right setup guide.

Do I need to write tests before the first scan?

No. AegisRunner can generate tests from the pages or screens it explores. Review those tests and their expected behavior before using them as a release check.

What is the difference between a scan and a run?

A scan discovers app content and generates tests. A run executes existing tests. You can rerun a suite without repeating discovery.

Why do I only see my sign-in page?

The scanner may not have authenticated successfully. Configure App access, verify the website login, and check that protected content is reached.

Can I test localhost?

Yes, using a tunnel or local scan executor. A cloud browser's localhost is not your development machine.

No. Native mobile scanning needs an Android APK or iOS IPA prepared for testing. See Mobile testing.

Does a clean accessibility report prove WCAG conformance?

No. It reports the automated checks and reached states. Combine it with manual accessibility testing.

Where is my API token?

Create a CI token under the project's Project setup → CI/CD. These tokens are project-specific and require an eligible plan.

Where can I find exact prices and limits?

Use Settings → Billing & plan → Plan & usage and the pricing page. Checkout shows the applicable price and payment details.
